Vermicompost for fruit orchards
Fruit trees take compost in the thaala, the basin under the canopy. EcoKhaad is cow-dung vermicompost made at Village Samgoli, Derabassi, with Trichoderma, Azotobacter, and PSB added. It is not raw dung and not an oil-cake blend.
Clear weeds in the basin. Spread compost in a ring a little away from the trunk, mix lightly into the top soil, and water. A starting practice for many growers is about 5–8 kg per mature tree, so one 50 kg bag covers roughly six to ten trees. Young plants take less.
Common windows are before flowering and after harvest. Match the timing to your crop. Keep bags in shade until the day you open them. Tell the plant you are an orchard buyer, how many bags, and the village for the drop.
